How to draw Futurama characters
« on: May 28, 2009, 01:47:09 PM »
I am happy to see that many fans are willing to draw Futurama characters (some already did with great skills), so I though a topic with a few tips to draw them easily would be a good idea:

IMO Groening style is much more complicated to master than many other cartoon styles (Matt himself can hardly draw his own characters) and the basic shapes and lines shown here are very useful if you want to get closer to the actual Futurama characters.

Here we go.

Let's start with Fry:

Leela

Bender

Amy

Farnsworth

Zoidberg

Hermes:

Nibbler :

Mom :

Scruffy :

Zapp :

Kif :

Prospect likes.  Your ability to recreate the characters is unbelievable, and these pics will make drawing that much easier for others, myself included.
The rules that change the most are the ones you learn first.

Maybe you could try to draw these by yourself? The same rules apply for every chatacters of Futurama (simple geometry to get the right proportions then add details).
